What an amazing year for our partners Wangka Maya Pilbara Language Centre!
Filming, website, school programmes, museum projects, research, an expo, and the ground-breaking project we have been supporting, the establishment of a digital hub with a vast collection of video, audio and written resources on language, indigenous knowledge and governance.
With the Centre’s fast take-up of new technology, Pilbara languages are on a rapid path to digitisation. Led by Manager Julie Walker, the Centre is leading the way globally in adopting new techniques to convey unique indigenous perspectives.
