Talofa Lava Family & Friends
Su’ifofoga Suamalie o le Tino e Tasi (Sweet Sounds of Tino e Tasi) has been developed by the tamaiti and faia’oga of Tino e Tasi Preschool.
The project started to support families at home throughout the COVID Pandemic. The lockdowns had created uncertainty and it was important for our tamaiti to experience a familiar routine at Tino e Tasi of mat time with a collection of beautiful songs that encourages the Samoan language in their own home.
Fa’afetai lava to the Ministry of Education New Zealand with the support of the Pacific Education Innovation Fund. The Pacific Education Innovation Fund specifically targets innovative practices that support Pacific learners’ wellbeing and curriculum needs, which have been affected by COVID-19, including in Pacific bilingual and immersion education.
