Mana Rangatahi Kete – Youth Pathways Accelerator App
Mana Rangatahi has gone global.
Two years ago, indigenous Dunedin businesswoman Heidi Renata launched Mana Rangatahi, a youth entrepreneurship programme aimed at people aged between 16 and 24, to inspire change in the business world.
The 12-week programme, run by her company INNOV8HQ, is based on applying matauranga Māori principles, critical thinking and resilience-based activities for the modern work environment.
Designed for youth living in Dunedin New Zealand, a mobile phone app has now been launched to broaden the programme’s reach.
“It’s about giving rangatahi (youth) the skills to encourage and inspire them to learn more to become a leader,” Heidi Renata says.
“Although the programme is delivered in Dunedin, anyone globally can use the app. It was also a great way of helping display the country’s culture to those who wanted to learn more. It is there for everyone, no matter where you are.”
