Steven was born in the small township of Kawakawa, but grew up in Milton Otago and takes pride in his Māori and Pākehā heritage. In 1994 Steven received a Masters degree in Marketing to become one of the first Māori graduates from University of Otago.  This was followed by a short career in Māori tourism at Auckland University of Technology and then an extended career in fitness as a founding member of global fitness company Les Mills International.

As Kaiwhakahaere Matua | CEO Steven’s role is to guide the company’s direction and sustainability through insight, innovation and service. At a technology level this requires focus around design thinking, research and development.  At staff  level this requires insights and execution on how tribes emerge, survive and thrive.  At a leadership level it requires focus on creating high performance teams.

Steven lives in West Harbour, Tāmaki Makaurau New Zealand and in his spare time enjoys cycling, music, cuisine, viticulture, and travel.

Jill is a Director of Kiwa Digital who also has overall responsibility for operations.

Involved with KIWA since she first invested in the company in 2014, Jill brings to this role extensive experience in strategy, operational management, commercialisation of IP, international alliances and governance.

Starting out as a secondary teacher with an MA in Linguistics, Jill went on to senior roles in public service managing the offices of a Minister of the Crown and the Mayor of Auckland. She then moved into the private sector as CEO of global fitness training company Les Mills International where she led rapid expansion into global markets over a period of 10 years. More recently she has served on the Board of Education New Zealand and Manukau Institute of Technology.

Jill is passionate about education and the opportunities it offers to power a better world.

As the founder of Kiwa Digital, Rhonda paved the way for the company’s work with indigenous groups around the world, using technology to preserve indigenous knowledge in formats that are relevant and accessible. As a multi-award-winning television Producer, her roots and passion are ingrained in the cultural localisation of media content for a global audience.  Rhonda was recently  honoured with the New Zealand Order of Merit (ONZM) for Services to New Zealand in Technology for Film and Television. She remains a Director of Kiwa Digital Ltd.
